Restoration includes:
  • Installing modern draught-proofing systems to both top and bottom sashes and replacing original timber staff and parting beads with modern draft-stripped beads. This reduces icy draughts, noisy and windy rattles, dust and water ingress.
  • Testing and strengthening of all timbers (including mortice and tenon joints and glazing bars).
  • Replacing original worn sash cords with top quality sash cords; cleaning and lubricating all moving parts and rebalancing weights – this will ensure sashes slide up and down with ease.
  • Checking glazing and putty, replacing as required.
  • Primer painted and filled ready for further decoration.
  • Supply and fitting of replacement window locks and finger lifts (brass, chrome or satin finish available).

Repairs include: 

More serious problems such as rotten water damaged frames and window cills (sills) can be dealt with via our repair service.
